Riihisalo

Riihisalo is a year-round leisure and recreation centre located on the shore of Lake Kaartjärvi, in the grounds of the old Salo manor. Come to Riihisalo for a holiday, a lovely celebration, or a conference or training course.

Riihisalo offers overnight accommodation for 26 people in the main building, with a further 16 beds in the workers’ lodge and 3 in the little cottage. The workers’ lodge has a shared kitchen and fireplace room for group use.

The main building has a 40-seat café. In summertime there is also a terrace with space for approx. 40 people. Lissu’s café, which is licensed to sell beer and wines, offers delicious buffet food and can also provide packed lunches.

There are private-hire saunas – two regular saunas and one smoke sauna – available all year round. You can plunge into Lake Kaartjärvi straight from the sauna. Ice-hole swimming in the winter is truly invigorating.

Riihisalo has a tennis court and Frisbee golf course. There are pet animals in the grounds for the children to play with. Signposted hiking and cross-country ski trails are nearby.
